Vancity Mom Boss
/~All of the doubt I have ever experienced while on this recent journey suddenly disappeared on this night. If the only purpose and reason was just to get to know these women, that's more than the perfect reason for me to have followed my passion.~
Sunday, February 7 was such a special evening. To clarify, it was not special because of the Super Bowl (ps who won?), but rather because of the fascinating and inspiring minds that came together in once place all at the same time. From shop owners and designers, to photographers, and bloggers; mompreneurs of all types came together to empower one another and to spread encouragement in the best way possible.
It was so refreshing seeing this many women get together in such a small space (side note: how hot was it ladies?) who all got along, complimenting one another and sharing like-minded ideas. I've never met a better group of unselfishly, hard-working people who really just want everyone to be the best that they can possibly be, with whatever their goals may be. Ah-mazing.
Seeing some faces that I already knew, and meeting new ones for the first time, was so fun. It's a crazy thing, knowing all of these ladies through social media and email, because when we got together, it literally felt like a reunion between a huge group of great friends.
Thank you to the lovely El Santo, in New Westminster, for hosting such a special first-time event. We cannot wait to have many more evenings like this in our near future. Also, a huge thank you goes out to Amanda, Tasha, and everyone else who took part, for their organization and event planning.
Not only did we chat and brain-pick the night away, we also raised $600 from raffle prizes for Canuck Place and Baskets of Love Down Syndrome. Well done, ladies.
I feel so fortunate to have met and bonded with each of you in the way that I have, and I look forward to our continued collaborations and celebrations together! I love you all, and sincerely thank you for making the world a better place.
