Caroline Ross Photography: A Typical Saturday Afternoon Captured

image.jpg

Hudson and I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and working with Caroline Ross on a recent sunny Vancouver day. We welcomed Caroline into our home for some "Saturday Lifestyle Photos".

Although grumpy from just waking up from his 2 hour afternoon nap, Hudson quickly warmed up to having Caroline follow us around our house. He looooved getting to jump on the bed with me, and it wasn't before long that Hudson began calling Caroline "auntie"!

Based in Vancouver, Caroline Ross is an internationally recognized wedding and portrait photographer. With the belief that images capturing the emotion and experiences of your wedding day should be as enduring as they are beautiful, Caroline forgoes trendy fads for the sake of elegant, everlasting photography to be enjoyed for decades to come. She is now branching out in to lifestyle photography, which is a perfect match for her genuine personality and patience. It was a breeze for her to capture my non-stop "terrible two" toddler!

It is without a doubt that I will truly cherish these photos that so accurately capture the bond that Hudson and I have. My heart literally pounds out of my chest each and every time I scroll through them. From the very bottom of my soul, I thank you a million times over, Caroline. Your work is truly stunning!

Our afternoon began with Hudson waking up from his nap and wanting snuggles. His post-nap rosy cheeks just kill me!

Before long, it was straight to play time

One of our favourite things to do together is look out his bedroom window and count the taxis as they drive by below our building.

Someone loved jumping on the bed with mommy. It's so fun (sometimes) breaking the rules!

Snack time! Hudson wanted some leftover chocolate Easter eggs. Someone has a sweet tooth just like mama!

The wrestling match to get him changed begins! Seriously though, how hard is it to get toddlers dressed? The struggle is real!

He never stops eating! Snack time again! I'm worried for how much money I'll be spending on groceries in 10 years.

Off to one of his favourite places... The beach! Via scooter, of course. It's how we get around town these days.

"My number one goal and priority in life is to make as many memories as possible with my son. I remember nothing of monetary value or material things from my childhood. What I reflect on frequently are the memories of doing and seeing things. These are the "things" we keep forever. Everything else was only present for a mere moment in time, and soon after forgotten."
