/Hudson's collaborative artwork is COMPLETE, and it took my breath away!!!!
I cannot believe we own this. Hudson created this artwork, and Joyce, using her expertise, developed a professional replica of it. Keep reading for how it all went down....
Joyce Ozier is a local Vancouver professional artist, focusing on abstract, modern canvas paintings. She connected with me through Vancouver Mom's Top 30 Bloggers of this year, and she explained her idea over the phone to me.
We then met at a local coffee shop so that she could better explain this new and unique business venture of hers. After a few minutes of chatting, I felt a connection with Joyce. She is warm, welcoming, and permeates adoration for children. I knew then, in that moment, that I wanted to take her up on her offer to have Hudson work with her.
So, what is The Little Picasso Series?
It is a way to immortalize your child's artistic creativity. Your child will work with Joyce in a 5 part series of steps to collaboratively complete an original, gallery-quality art piece.
How it works...
Step 1: INSPIRE
We began by welcoming Joyce into our home. This gives Joyce the opportunity to meet your child, understand their likes, dislikes, passions, and abilities. (Also a chance for Joyce to see your home decor, taste and style.)
Step 2: COLLABORATE
Next was an in-studio session. A once in a lifetime opportunity to step into a professional art studio to work alongside, your child will spend 2 hours there, accompanied by you, their parent(s). Your child will imagine and create.
Step 3: INTERPRET
Joyce will take the next several weeks to interpret your child's art, add some of her expertise, and finalize the art piece.
Step 4: DISCOVER
This was my favourite part of all; the big reveal! Joyce personally hand-delivers the final art to your home. To see your child's face light up with pride makes this entire process unforgettable.
Step 5: ENJOY
Cherish your new piece of art forever, and take pride in sharing the story of how it got there with each guest that you welcome into your home.
